Stormwater Management
Stormwater management is the practice of managing stormwater flows and run-off with storm drainage facilities, grading, excavation, and other project facilities to limit the dangers of personal injury or property damage that may be caused by stormwater run-off. Stormwater management plans and facilities are usually engineered to accommodate storm events with return periods of 2, 5, 10, 25 and 100-years, being flood events that would be expected to be equaled or exceeded once in the return period. Clipsham's engineers have in-house capability to prepare reports and plans that are required to secure approvals from municipalities, conservation authorities and ministries for municipal capital works projects, land development projects, or the needs of small property owners. Staff is experienced in the computer modeling of stormwater flows to compare existing pre-development and post-development flows resulting from development, and for the preparation of hydrogeological investigations for structural engineering designs, or hydraulic studies of structures. On occasion, if the circumstance calls for unusual solutions, experts in industry and academia may be called upon to serve on the project team to provide additional expertise.
Contact Clipsham Limited if you have a project requirement that may be solved with stormwater management studies, reports or plans.
